How come African American hair is so much different than Caucasian hair?

because african americans have oval shaped roots and caucauican has round. genes, its how your born. How come African American hair is so much different than Caucasian hair?
that's true about the shape and size of the follicle. also, because the small, oval follicle common to many African-descended people (not all though) creates smaller, spiraling curls, the sebum released from the sebaceous gland has a harder time coating the entire shaft (and probably penetrating the thicker cuticle as all curly hair tends to have).

we can't forget that only phenotypical genes like hair texture, hair color, skin color, skin texture, etc. are related to biological race. these are the only ways that we are genetically different!!
