Why do u think african american hair is totally different from others?

im african american nd my hair is different then other...it's not silkly, curly, alot(puffy) do u think i can do something to make my hair look like others...and whatWhy do u think african american hair is totally different from others?
Check out a cheap beauty store, they usually have many products to make it curl or help with dryness . Oddly my hair is very course and blond and it is very different the most white people hair, yet friend tell me black hair cuts different then white hair, I have been to black beauty shop and they had a hard time With it,but I have great hair, trick is to find what to do with it! You will figure it out, I have women and men that cut hair and say the same of other ethnic groups too, it just is important for you to find someone who works well once you figure out what you like with products, find cheap stuff at drug stores too, sometimes I have used products for african amercing hair, and it was not oily enough . Mostly find a style that works, my one friend she gets hair glued on and its cool, I asked her once if it was hers and she said yes she paid for it! Why do u think african american hair is totally different from others?
Sure I'm west indian(haitian) my hair looks like most african americans but when its wet it gets extremly curly. If your hair to get curly you can use a texturizer thats about the only you can get curls or waves if you dont naturally already have it.How would you like it and I can be of more help?
i'm jealous of the curls you guys inherit! it's all in genetics. my hair is completely straight and boring!

but if dont like the way your hair is you can go to your nearest good quality salon and ask them what treatments they can give you so your hair is different permanently [as in around 6 months before you have to go back if you choose]

from what i know there are:

shine treatments

straightening treatments

softness treatments

split end treatments

those are the most popular widely used ones out there.

hope i helped!
What do you want it to look like? I have a lot of African American friends and they all have different hair. I'm sure a stylist could help you get the look you want. Just cut a pic out of a magazine and take it in to a stylist and see what he or she says.
its because african americans dont have the natural oils in their hair. go to beauty stores or wal mart in the hair section, they have special hot oil treatments and balms witch will give your hair the natural oils and make it silky and not so poofy:]
i heard that its harder for african american hair to get nutrients or something. you could get extensions or my friend used to get her hair permed but straight idk but after a while she had to stop b/c it was bad for her hair.
You can get a relaxer. It sometimes makes more manageable. it just depends. You should go to an ethnic hairstylist and get a professional opinion.
nope. it's genetics, there is not much you can do. if you want to make it puffy, try backcombing.
