How do I grow my African American hair past my mid back?

Right now my hair is at my shoulders! And I';ve tried to moisturize and condition my hair please HELP?How do I grow my African American hair past my mid back?
Hi, I once had hair that touched my bra strap, I recently cut it because I damaged my hair when I bleached it. I know you said you tried moisturizers and conditioners but you have to continue with that. You should wash your haid every 7-10 days and deep condition it. If your hair is relaxed you need to use a shampoo and condtioner with a low ph to neutralize the high ph of the relaxer. Try to stay away from products that contain mineral oil and patroleums. Also stay away from products that contain alcohol and silicons. I know that may be a lot to remember but those products aren't good for your hair. You need to keep your hair oily. African American hair tends to be very dry especially if it is relaxed and dryness causes breakage which will take length off your hair. Try natural oils such as olive oil, germ wheat oil, jojaba oil, almond oil, shea butter. These work wonders on the hair. Try to use products that contain proteins and fatty acids. Vitamin E is also great for the hair. It promotes growth and strengthens the hair. Remember if you relax your hair you have to pay more attention to it and keep it really moisturized. If you spot breakage make sure you treat it every week. Leave in condtioners are also great because they keep the hair moisturized but remember many of the leave ins contain alcohol. The ones that don't can sometimes be pricey. There are products by Carols Daughter that are great but a little expensive. I reccomend Organic Olive Oil products there conditioner and shampoo contain olive oil and citirc acid which has a low ph that really helps if your hair is relaxed. Their leave in moisturizer is not that great because it contains alcohol. Remember to clip you ends if they are split and if you can try to have a professional manage your hair. Also try not to use excessive heat, blow drying, flat ironing, curling irons, and other things of that nature can really damage the hair especially if is relaxed. If your hair is relaxed remember to wrap it and sleep with a satin scarf or pillow case. This prevents tangling and therefore will prevent breakage. If your hair is relaxed do not bread it or weave it because this can dry the hair out making it brittle and cause breakage. Remember heredity does play a part but many times it is the breakage that prevents African Americans from having long hair.

Good Luck and if you have any questions feel free to IM or Email me

Oh yeah there are also some home made remedies you can put in your hair before you wash it. You can blend papaya, olive oil, germ wheat oil, the yolk of an egg, mayonaise, water, shea butter, mixed nuts and fish oil. I know this sounds funny but the fatty acids and protein from these products are great for the hair. Make a paste and let it sit in your hair for about 10 minutes than wash and deep condition.

P.S. My spell check is not working sorry if I spelled things wrong, I'm a horrible speller. How do I grow my African American hair past my mid back?
Perhaps have it chemically straightened if you haven't already. Also the myth of 100 brushes a day does have some truth in it as it stimulates the scalp and promotes growth. Plus regular trims every 4/5 weeks and use heat protective sprays if you use straighteners or tongs to prevent split ends. I have used extensions also whilst waiting for mine to grow so this might be an option. Good luck
its either your hair is long or it isnt....

my hair is down to my back.... =] and im african american.

try exstentions or something, just a suggestion...

or try using a diffrent shampoo and conditioner... I like (Ramoni)

use this hair product called olive oil....

dont straighten your har to much that damages it...

Do hot oil treatments i did them before they work amazing... you can get it from any local african american beauty store.

DONT perm, or texturize your hair unless your willing to put extra time and money into it ... meaning your hair should be wrapped alot, you have to buy shampoos that are good for chemically treated hair and soo on

And\or braid your hair at least once a week you will be suprised at the results from just that alone =]

annnd GOOD LUCK =]
You need to keep your end clipped every other week or so. You hair will grow, or try braids for a while. People's hair usually grows after being in braids a month or so. Just know your hair will shed after you take them out. If you have a relaxer make sure that you are not waiting too long between to relax your hair that will damage it as well.
try do-grow

my mom uses it and it made her hair longer

[she's black] and maybe grease %26amp;nd some liv hair stuff

gt it from a beauty supply warehouse.
