For good African American straightening products, try an African American owned hair care line. Mineral Indulgence is a hair care line designed for Black women, I'm not sure whether they have a product that can completely straighten your hair without a flat iron, but you can email them personally and they may be able to customize a product for you, or perhaps you'll find a product on the site to your liking.
Their hot oil treatment suprisingly flatened out a lot of the naps in my little girl's hair...maybe they'll it will do the same for you.
try Walgreens... they have best products only for this...
