How do I straighten my african american hair?

I'm an african american and i'm having problem straightening my hair. I have a relaxer in my hair and when i try to straighten my hair it doesn't look silky, just frizzy. Is this just the way my hair is or do i need to try a different method than just using a straightener? How do I straighten my african american hair?
What do u use - a hot comb? blow dryer? flat iron?

I suggest using a conditioner like Lustrasilk in your hair. Use the no-poo method (don't wash, just shampoo - it's healthier for our hair)

Then, when you rinse it off, apply some heat protectant and blow dry it.. I like to use ProSilk's.

Then straighten with a hot comb or flat ironHow do I straighten my african american hair?
my hair is natural and when i straighten it follow this method

shampoo, condition then use a moisturizing deep conditioner rinse that out then detangle

add leave in conditioner to wet hair

section my hair to six parts then airdry

when partial dry use a heat protecting serum like chi silk start flat ironing with a good quality straighter on a low setting to avoid heat damage

that's how i do it try going on this website to get tips

there are also many tutorials you can find on youtube
I have really nappy hair and i use a rosemary hair oil which works really well i put it on before and after i straighten my hair with a flat iron
You can wrap it. Watch a video on youtube. You can do it everyday and it's easy.
I'm also afro-american. I once straightened with straight raw egg.
Well.... I would try the newer straightener. I can't recall the name of it... But it had like a curler thing in it but it straightens your hair! It should work.
Maybe You Should Do What I Do, Wash It, Blow Dry It, Grease Your Scalp, Flat Iron It, Use Carrot Oil On It And Wrap It.
