Which hair products for african american hair will help it grow, optimum or olive oil?

I was wondering what shampoo and conditioner will be good to switch. Right now, I'm using Garnier but after hearing that it has SLS, I was getting worried about that damaging my hair. I hear great feed backs on optimum and olive oil and was wondering which product is the best. Well it depends on how much you wash your hair. Honestly i think all shampoos and conditioners are the same and most of them aren't designed for african american hair especially Garnier. You should probably go to a hair store that specialized in products for african americans. I have used olive oil and it just made my hair really shiny and smooth but didn't really help it grow. So i tried optimum and it grew i little but not as much as when i used Doo Gro Leave-In Growth Treatment and also used this Gold hair activator by i believe care free curl and it grew my hair about 5 inches in 5 monthsWhich hair products for african american hair will help it grow, optimum or olive oil?
my best friend has a real hard rime finding hair stuff for her. She uses this stuff just for your kind of hair and it makes it soft and easy to brush. It is called Pantene ProV it is the relaxed kind. ANd it is in a brown bottle. It will do wonders for your hair.
