When i say products i mean everything, such as grease, flatirons blowdryers. all hair products. What are good products for african american hair?
Eww, grease is not good for your hair at all. Instead of grease, use a natural oil like olive oil; there are many to choose from. Oil is healthier for hair. Grease does nothing but coat the hair and make it greasy and nasty. I'm sure you know that what works well for one persons hair might not work for someone else.
Andre Walker, Oprah's hairstylist, recommends buying the most expensive products you can buy. I agree with him because I've found salon brands to be more superior than their cheaper drugstore brand counterparts.
This question really depends on your hair type. People who are natural, relaxed, or have some other chemical treatment will not use the same types of products to keep their hair healthy. I do suggest buying sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Sulfates dry out the hair, and blacks have a naturally dry hair type, so it just makes it dryer and worse. Natural and organic products don't contain sulfates and are less harsh on your hair.
I use a product called Wen cleansing conditioner. It takes the place of shampoo, deep conditioner, rinse conditioner, and a leave, because it's all those things in one, except in conditioner form. It doesn't dry out your hair so you can use it every day if you wanted. It's made my super curly, thick hair more manageable and helped it retain moisture. It's also made my hair healthier. What are good products for african american hair?
