What is the best flat iron for African American hair and where can i find it?

Need a really good flat iron but what the heck! the have Ceramic and ceramic Tourmaline(oops on the spelling!) but im super confused! What is the best flat iron for African American hair and where can i find it?
I am African American as well and here's what I do....comb my hair before I put my head in water. Wet your hair in warm water and rub shampoo in....rinse out....add more shampoo...rinse out. Wring out hair gently place towel on hair and rub lightly. Add conditioner from root to end of hair all over....let it sit for about 15 mins. (in the meantime you can put dinner up) lol Rinse conditioner out and wring hair again and rub hair lightly w/ towel. Use a generous amount of setting lotion, put a horizontal part in crown of head and wrap your hair. Once you wrap it sit under dryer or let air dry. Once dry comb hair down, use a little grease to grease scalp not to put on hair. Rub Kemi Oyl or spray Razac hair oil (whatever u prefer) on hair and wrap it back up and the next morning comb it down and get on with your day. In the beginning u might have to flat iron it before u wrap it but after a while your hair with be trained to fall in place with a nice healthy bend. P.S. Try not to use your curling iron or flat iron too much, causes severe breakageWhat is the best flat iron for African American hair and where can i find it?
I believe that the Baby Bliss Pro Ceramic Flat Iron is the best flat iron for African American or Black Hair. I loved it so much I wrote a whole review about it. See the review at http://www.articlesnatch.com/Article/Baby-Bliss--Best-Flat-Iron-For-Black--Kinky--Or-Frizzy-Hair/660550.

yeah, i guess its best to get a flat iorn that has a round type iron on it so u can grab ur new growth nad curl ur ends at the same time. it should also have some frequencies on it for how hot or low u want it depeing on ur hair type. i have one and it works great, i bought it a walmart for about 17 -18 dollars give or take i say make sure u see some one black on the cover just my opinion. good luck!
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===

Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etc
I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.

Now they have 2008 model (Sedu Revolution) , i can't wait to try it!
