What are some reasons to have natural African American hair?

Im thinking about going natural, i currently have relaxed hair. My hair is pretty long. The relaxers havent damaged my hair its just that i feel at some point im going to have to stop getting them lol. Im just scared about how i will look and i am not a big fan of the big chop (bc). So i guess im looking for some motivation lol. So what are some things about transitioning i should know, and for those who are natural what do you like most about it?What are some reasons to have natural African American hair?
-relaxer has damaging effects. In February 1994, FDA and the American Cancer Society released an epidemiologic study involving 573,000 women. Researchers found that women who had never used permanent hair dyes/chemicals showed decreased risk of all fatal cancers combined and of urinary system cancers.

-You dont have to worry about the rain and you can wash your hair as frequently as needed without worrying about reversion.

- You can still rock the straight styles with a flat iron.

My favorite thing about being natural is how much thicker and longer my hairs gotten. relaxers used to thin out my hair and cause more breakage. Being natural has also caused me to do loads of research on hair.
